Our Taster Days at the Belfast Model School for Girls are packed full of fun, new experiences and are unbelievably busy! With over 300 P7 girls joining us today, 2017’s event was no exception.
21 primary schools from North, West and South Belfast travelled to the Girls’ Model to take part in a range of activities that feature in our Key Stage 3 curriculum. One day does not give us enough time to showcase all of the excellent practice that happens daily but it does give our prospective pupils a ‘taster’ of what being a Girls’ Model pupil is really like.
The girls sampled practical classes in ICT, Physical Education, Music, Home Economics, Drama, Maths, Technology, Art and Science and experienced our state-of-the-art facilities the Girls’ Model has to offer.
Break and lunch in the canteen gave the girls a chance to discuss what they had been up to and an opportunity to meet some of the staff who will hopefully have the privilege of teaching them in Year 8!
We look forward to hopefully seeing the girls again during our Open Evening on Thursday 4th January 2018 from 7pm – 9pm! For more information on this click here.
