Friday 19th November marked the start of preparation for Hour of Code week, which is happening the week beginning 6th December 2021.

We had a member from the IT firm CIVICA connect remotely with 8O and 8A to explain what they will be coming in to do with them during Hour of Code week and how they can get prepared and ready for this.

The Year 8 students had to get into teams and set roles (project manager, designer & coder) before beginning their hand drawn designs of a maze that they will be creating out of recyclable materials and then finally coding a sphero robot to go through.

We are very excited to see the ideas and designs they come up with for CIVICA coming in for our workshop in December.
