On Wednesday 2nd February 2022, our Minor and Junior teams travelled to Lagan College to compete in their first Netball match of the year as part of this year’s Netball League.
The Minor Netball team consisting of Year 8 students played exceptionally well for it being their first ever Netball match. The match was an excellent learning experience for our youngsters – who exceeded all expectations and rose to the challenge of playing Lagan’s Year 9 students. All girls worked tremendously hard to stop Lagan’s attack. Special mentions must go to Kaitlin Conn who worked hard in defence to prevent Lagan’s side from scoring with some lovely rebounds, Ruth Ingram who managed to get herself into some fantastic spaces for attacking play and Poppy Martin on her shooting under pressure. The girls were sadly defeated but a terrific learning experience for them all. So very proud of all their achievements and looking forward to our upcoming games.
