At the beginning of February 2022 our Junior Netball team competed in their first Netball match of the year. A team consisting of Year 9/10 ready to put their weekly training into action. The match was very exciting and all girls showed excellent progress and skill – many of who have never played a match and coped very well with the challenge. At the final whistle, the girls were sadly defeated but thoroughly enjoyed their match experience. This was very unlucky as the girls played excellent Netball, from GK right up to the attackers. Special mentions go to Tia Foster playing a wide range of positions throughout the match, Caitlin Scott for excellent defence, and Christen-Eve Dunlop playing tremendously in the Centre bib – all over the court and getting some lovely interceptions. Very proud of the girls effort and can’t wait to see this squad develop over the next few matches!
