On Thursday 25th January 2024 visitors passionate about Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics attended our Year 10 STEM event. It was a fun-filled day that began with an inspirational speech from Dr Oyama, a researcher and lecturer in Microbiology from from Queen’s University Belfast. Dr Oyama shared the highs and lows of her journey into STEM. The students had the opportunity to have one-to-one conversations with our guests and learn more about how STEM subjects are connected in the real world. They also enjoyed exploring electricity, light and sound using our Bumble Beeps and they finished their day building a tower out of spaghetti!
