Three members of the Department of Engineering at Queens University Belfast came to engage Year 9 pupils in two STEM activities.

Completing the catapult and bridge activities involved teamwork, planning, measuring, recording and trial and error.

The catapult activity was particularly challenging but the bridge activity proved more successful. The organisers ran out of weights to test the strongest bridges!

Well done to all the enthusiastic Year 9 participants and a big thank you to the Department of Engineering at Queens.
