On Tuesday 1st April, Home Economics teacher Mr Fitzpatrick, was delighted to be an invited guest at the Academy Restaurant at Ulster University Belfast.  Mr Fitzpatrick met top Italian chef Dani Cortellini and got the chance to experience an array of culinary delights and a sumptuous afternoon tea.  It was also the perfect opportunity to collaborate with teachers from other schools in relation to sharing best practice in Home Economics and Hospitality.

It was a very informative visit and great to meet the trustees of the Antonio Carluccio Foundation, who are funding the school visits to UU Academy, which will be taking place later this year.  Hopefully, this will encourage young people to consider a career in the Hospitality Industry – watch this space!
