We are very privileged to have a link with Allen Parton, Founder of Hounds for Heroes and his amazing service dog ET. Allen visited with us in January and told his deeply inspiring story to some of our Post-16 students to remind them that resilience is the key to success and happiness.
On Thursday 5th June some of the Year 11 English Literature students got to meet Allen and ET, hearing how he made the journey from his brain injury received in service with the Royal Navy to his chance meeting with Endal, his first service dog, and the life-saving bond that they developed. Allen has been supported by EJ (Endal Junior) and now ET (Endal the Third) and through the Hounds for Heroes charity, wants to spread awareness of the immense capacity of their fully trained dogs to change the lives of service personnel from the military, police, fire brigade, ambulance service.
