In December our Year 11 Art classes visited the RUA (Royal Ulster Academy of Arts) exhibition in the Ulster Museum. The exhibition had a wide range of Art works by some of the best artists in Northern Ireland.
The girls were given a special tour by artist Mary Gribben, who was able to explain the Art works and the artist’s techniques and ideas. She had visited the school to do a drawing workshop earlier in December and after the tour of the exhibition, she did a follow up workshop with the students.
Both pupils and staff thoroughly enjoyed the event and it will certainly help the students with their GCSE Art course.
