The Girls’ Model celebrated World Book Day 2018 in style this year as both staff and students entered into the spirit of the day and dressed up.  With ‘Professor McGonigle’ as our Principal for the day and The Queen of Hearts, Cruella De Ville and one of her dalmation’s, Dorothy, Mary Poppins, Gru, Wally, Captain Underpants, Cat in the Hat, Little Red Riding Hood, Mr Tumble and Gangsta Granny (to name a few) teaching our students today it has been a colourful day all round!

There were prizes for the ‘best dressed’ in each Year 8 form class and a ‘Who’s Reading?’ Competition in which students had to guess which member of staff was hiding behind the book.

Captain Underpants (aka Miss Fryer) held a story-telling event for Year 8 in the morning and during English classes pupils participated in World Book Day activities.

All in all a fun day celebrating the importance of reading in our school.
