On Wednesday 28th April Year 8 student Maizie Pritchard received a special award in the City Hall, from the Lord Mayor, for bravery and courage.  Last year Maizie was in the hospital for almost 7 months following an operation on her back.

She was very excited to attend to receive her reward and while she and her family were there they had a private tour around the building.  She even had the chance to try on the Lord Mayor’s chain – but fell over because it was so heavy!

Maizie has shown herself to be a true ‘Model’ student, greeting every day in school with enthusiasm and a smile.  We are so proud of her in BMSG and were delighted to hear about this well-deserved award!
