The Belfast Model School for Girls is supporting Safer Internet Day 2017 on Tuesday 7th February 2017.  The theme this year is ‘Be the change: unite for a better internet’.

Our Year 10 GMS Digital Leaders held a Safer Internet Day 2017 assembly last week and custom resources have been created for all students in the Belfast Model School for Girls under the #giveasmile theme.

Get involved in the Safer Internet Day social media campaign by tweeting using the hashtag #SID2017 and tagging us (@GirlsModel).  All pupils will be encouraged to use the internet in a positive way and also create their own emoji!

Examples of positive use of the internet (such promoting youth clubs and activities through Social Media, using approved sites for revision support) will be promoted throughout the week, and pupils and staff will be considering their digital footprint.
