School Council

The purpose of the Student Voice Student Council is to bring together the range of perspectives about the student experience in a structured way that allows us to evaluate the ‘student experience’ and identify our strengths and areas for development.

In recent years, the role of the School Council has been revisited to ensure that our students have the opportunity to become active citizens and the whole school community can contribute to the further development of the Belfast Model School for Girls.

The Senior Student Leadership Team, led by Ms L. Campbell and supported by Mrs J. Clarke co-ordinate three tiers of school council beginning with form class representatives on the Year Councils, then Junior and Senior councils and finally, the Whole School Council. Altogether, we have 106 members of our School Council who regularly meet to discuss issues that are important to our student body and also to plan and run charity events.
