On Wednesday 3rd May a group of eleven students from Year 8-11 attended a special event at the National Football Stadium at Windsor Park.  The event was an official announcement of a new two year partnership between The Irish FA and Electric Ireland, the new sponsors of women’s football in Northern Ireland.

Students from the Girls’ Model School and St. Louise’s were special guests for this event, along with Cool FM’s Rebecca McKinney who was presenting the launch, Northern Ireland‘s Manager Michael O’Neill, Northern Ireland’s Women’s Manager Alfie Wylie and Captain Marissa Callaghan.  The girls had photo opportunities with all the special guests, question and answer session, as well as getting to play a match against St. Louise’s in front of all the VIPs!

The girls all had a fantastic time during this launch and a big thanks to the Irish Football Association for this amazing opportunity.
