On Monday 26th June 2017 we held our annual Charity Presentation event to formally present the money raised by the pupils and staff. Throughout the year the school raised almost £3000 for charity organisations, as well as a large number of hampers for the Salvation Army!
We were delighted to have representatives from several charities present to talk to the students about the work they do:
- Macmillan Cancer Support
- Breast Cancer Now
- Royal British Legion
- Red Nose Day
- Age NI
- Readathon
- Salvation Army
Our Year 9 students did a fantastic job leading the event, demonstrating excellent public speaking skills – not an easy thing to do when faced with a hall full of people!
The charity representatives gave inspiring and informative presentations which helped us understand the valuable work that charities do. Well done to all!
