Congratulations to our Year 14 A-Level Applied Life and Health Science students Pamela Onang, Ellen Harbinson, Aimee McMinn and Amy Williamson on receiving their Gold Crest Award for their work on the Sentinus Team R&D project last year.
The four students worked closely with the Ulster University Department of Life and Health Science to investigate ways of modifying current ECG machines to overcome the problem of lead entanglement which can cause recording artefacts on the ECG trace. The solution involved looking at retractable mechanisms and the use of novel manufacturing materials.
