On Tuesday 10th October we held our annual Attendance Award Ceremony where 200 students were awarded for their great attendance. Gold, silver and bronze certificates were awarded to pupils with 100%, 99% and 98% attendance respectively. 36 students received an award for up to 6 years’ service and a special word of congratulations must go to Danielle Hill, Chloe Taylor, Gemma Turner, Leah Lamont and Aimee McMinn in Year 13 for achieving 6 years full attendance.
We were delighted to introduce a new award to those senior students who have had 5 or 6 years full attendance in school. These 14 girls will be our Attendance Ambassadors and will assist staff in promoting the importance of good attendance as well as support those girls who find it difficult to be in school every day.
It was lovely to see so many parents and friends join us for this occasion, there were a lot of proud mums and dads! A special mention must be given to Year 11 Naomi Harkness who wonderfully played Les Feuilles de Mortes (Autumn Leaves) on the flute as well as Year 12 student, Megan Hamilton who sang beautifully for us Midnight by Andrew Lloyd Webber.
