This week the Girls’ Model held its third annual ‘Author Week’ hosting a series of special events to promote reading for pleasure throughout the school. During this week Year 8 – 10 students have enjoyed meeting and listening to stories from local authors, such as Sheena Wilkinson, Steve Lally and Pat Ryan as well as hearing staff members’ favourite stories! It is our aim at GMS to promote the importance of reading and this week has been an opportunity to promote reading and foster pupils’ interest in it.

It’s lovely to be invited to school for the third or fourth time. Makes you feel you must have got something right! Thanks @poetryireland https://t.co/VoxVEW7G1b
