Carol Service 2017

On Wednesday 13th December we held our annual Christmas Carol Service. The theme this year was, “What if Christmas looked a lot more like Jesus”. The reason for having Christmas celebrations is to celebrate the birth of Christ, God’s son. However, for many people other traditions take over, presents, decorations, food. In our Carol Service this year, we looked at what Christmas would be like if Jesus was at the centre of it. It would be more about caring, sharing, peace and remembering the birth of the saviour of the world.

The real meaning of Christmas was explored through traditional carols, lovely musical items, Bible readings and poems. Many junior and senior pupils took part, including 8FR who brought us an excellent drama. We were delighted that Mrs. Weir, chairwoman of our Board of Governors took part in our service. It was also lovely to see so many parents there. Thank you to all who took part.
