A team of Year 8/9 and a Year 10/11 team were selected to go to Mullusk Playing Fields on Wednesday 13th June 2018 to participate in the annual IFA Schools 7 a-side football tournament.  On the day, there were approximately 1000 girls playing football from all over the country from various schools.  Due to this, the competition was very tough and there was a lot of talent throughout the day! Our Year 8/9 girls were up against a tough category, nevertheless, worked hard and played some good football. Darcey Calderwood was star of the show for The Girls Model Year 8/9 team as she stepped up to play Goalkeeper where she done amazing! The Year 10/11 team also had a very tough category playing against 3 different schools. The girls in this team, including Northern Ireland International football Darcey Boyle, all linked up very well together and played an excellent passing game in all of their matches.  These girls also scored some very good goals.  Unfortunately, neither teams received enough points to go through to the knockout stages of the competition but all girls had a great day out and represented the school very well! Congratulations to all girls and a huge thanks to the Irish Football Association for another fantastic tournament.
