Safer Internet Day is coming up on the 8th February and the theme this year is “Together for a better Internet”. Whilst we may be working from home, never before has our access online been more important.
During the week 8th – 12th February week, we hope to celebrate Safer Internet Day as a school community and we would invite both students and parents/guardians to join in, with the aim of promoting the safe, responsible and respectable use of online technologies.
We encourage our parents/guardians to sign up to our “Together we can Model better” pledge and sign up to the Safer Schools app for the latest advice and updates regarding apps and social media platforms.
We are calling on to all students to help us celebrate the event by participating in a number of activities with your form tutor during form focus each morning, signing up to our “Together we can Model better” pledge and by setting the digital devices to the side, giving yourself a break and getting creative to design a new eSafety logo for Belfast Model School for Girls.
Prizes will be up for grabs for the winning entries in KS3, KS4 and KS5 and the overall winner will be selected to have their logo used as our official school eSafety logo.
