We have been cooking up a storm in Home Economics already!  We focused on skills for the first Key Stage 3 practical lessons to get us all used to cooking again after missing out last year.  We particularly practiced our safe knife skills, using the bridge hold and claw grip to demonstrate a number of vegetable cuts.  The girls really enjoyed getting back into the kitchen and have practiced the routines of the practical lessons as well, ready to make some exciting dishes in the coming weeks.  Well done girls!
