Year 8 Science – measuring a volume of liquid

Home  /  News  /  Current Page

These photographs show the girls in Year 8S learning how to measure a volume of a liquid accurately using a measuring cylinder. They learn how to handle glassware safely, to choose a measuring cylinder of the correct volume, to use a dropper for adding or removing small volumes of liquid and to obtain accurate volumes by reading the meniscus correctly (at the bottom when looking at it at eye level).  Well done girls!
