Hour of Code Week 2022- Coming soon to a school near you…
On Monday 5th December 2022 The Belfast Model School for Girls will once again join thousands of schools in over 180 countries in completing the global movement that is ‘The Hour of Code’.
We live in a world surrounded by technology, and we know that whatever field you choose to go into as adults, your ability to succeed will increasingly hinge on understanding how technology works. However, only a tiny fraction of us are learning computer science, and we want to change that.
We hope by celebrating the Hour of Code every year we will promote opportunities for our students to be inspired and empowered to consider the possibilities and potential career paths which Computer Science will lead to.
Our Hour of Code is a statement that Belfast Model School for Girls is ready to teach these foundational 21st century skills.
To continue bringing programming activities to our school, we want to make our Hour of Code event huge! So, keep a close eye to see what the Digital Technologies Department have planned this year…
