On Wednesday 21st February the Science department had the pleasure of taking a group of Year 13 students to an interactive workshop where they collaborated as part of a transplantation team to create storyboards for an animated video educational series for patients with chronic kidney disease on the waitlist for a kidney transplant. Researchers, transplant coordinators, nephrologists, and transplant surgeons talked about the kidneys, kidney disease, and kidney transplantation, and what information is important for kidney transplant recipients to know. Students then stepped into these roles as part of their own transplantation education team!
