On Wednesday 9th to Friday 11th April, 28 students and 3 members of staff from Belfast Model School for Girls travelled to Liverpool for their annual Sports Tour. Once arrived in sunny Liverpool, we headed straight to Anfield for a Stadium tour which (most) of the girls loved – maybe not the Manchester United supporters! Once the girls spent some money in the LFC store, we got back onto our coach and headed to the hotel to check in and some ‘down time’ as everyone was exhausted from our 4am start! That evening, we then headed to Gravity Max in Liverpool One for dinner, Bowling, Interactive Darts and Mini Golf.
On Thursday, we headed to Liverpool John Moores University to their Sports Building to take part in some interactive games and a tour of their new building. The girls took part in some Football, indoor target shooting and then they were introduced to a new team game called ‘Kin-Ball’ which all the girls loved! After LJMU – we headed into L1 for some lunch and shopping before heading to Cosmo for Dinner and the Cinema to see Snow White. The next morning, after breakfast in the hotel, we got packed up and headed straight to the airport for our flight home.
The girls were excellent the whole trip. Their attitudes and behaviours were brilliant and they all represented the school very well.
We are already looking forward to Tour 2026 and are in the early stages of planning. Want to get involved? Make sure you attend extra-curricular activities on a regular basis and also follow the ‘Model Way’ to be in with a shout for 2026!
Thank you!
