On Tuesday 20th May, 9SV had the pleasure of visiting Ulster Bank Head office at Donegall Square, Belfast for a Thrive event. This was an excellent opportunity for the students to take part in a variety of workshops dealing with all manner of finance related areas. These included an introduction to using AI prompts, Cyber Security with PSNI, Money Matters – planning for the future and discussing the various careers opportunities available within banking. The day concluded with a Q & A session with Team GB athlete, Rebecca Short who shared her inspirational story.
The welcome from all involved was warm and friendly, the students left feeling informed, inspired to try new things and motivated achieve their goals!The class were excellent ambassadors for the school and look forward to further opportunities to engage with this programme.
