On Monday 22nd October we were delighted  to warmly welcome Liz Weir, famous storyteller and author, to meet with Year 8.  The girls thoroughly enjoyed repeating rhymes with Liz, listening to her scary stories (we had a quite a few who jumped in fright!) and asking her questions about why she became an author and what are her own favourite books to read.  The girls had great fun and asked if Liz could come back again!

On Tuesday 23rd October the world travelled storyteller Patrick Ryan returned to our school for a second year in a row to meet Year 9.  Pat told Year 9 stories of London in the days of Charles Dickens and a few frightening tales of talking rats and disappearing people! Year 9 had a great time and really enjoyed the tales.  The girls had lots of interesting questions to ask Pat about his life and travels and were really impressed to hear he had met the Queen and Princes Harry and William!  We will definitely have Pat back again in the future.
