Titanic Quarter Visit

On 14th December, the GCSE Year 12 Geography students embarked on an expedition to Titanic Quarter to put their studies of urban change and regeneration into context.  They first visited the SoundYard, where with a bit of momentum, generated the sounds of the shipyard to perceive the prior purpose of the area.  They then journeyed to the Titanic Quarter itself to learn about the housing, employment, environment and transport, as decreed by their specification.  A leisurely walk, in unseasonably warm weather, took us back towards the CBD, with a brief stop for some tourism related activities in the SSE pavilion.  Our final stop, via the pedestrianised shopping areas of the city, was the Christmas Market at the City Hall, where we indulged in the tastes and scents of the season and encountered some former pupils –  with many thanks to Louise Scullion for the best hot chocolate ever!
