Past pupil Caroline Cochrane completed her degree in Fashion and Textiles at Ulster University in June 2016. Caroline worked with great enthusiasm and drive in both GCSE and A-Level Art and spent a year on university placement working in London with well- known fashion designers Henry Holland and Giles Deacon (who designed Pippa Middleton’s wedding dress). She is now continuing her career in fashion in America. Here is a snippet from her recent e-mail to Mrs Wilson.
I have just moved to New York. I am working for a fashion designer called Julia Jentzsch. Her work is quite minimalistic.
I did London Fashion Week in February under the agency ‘Indie Faces’ which was great. It’s a huge American company that helped me get out there and get it on my CV. It was hard work, but it’s so rewarding when your graduate collection is getting invited to walk in a company during LFW. (I’ve attached a few photos) This then helped me get a two page spread in a magazine called ‘Debut Mag’ (again attached pictures). This was a great opportunity for me as a lot of bloggers and publicists have been following my Instagram now!
I’ll always say this, but thanks to your motivation and believing in me, I honestly wouldn’t be sitting in the middle of Central Park ready to begin a new journey!
Congratulation Caroline! Are you a past pupil of the Girls’ Model, why not join our Alumni Network by clicking here.
