On Wednesday 1st March Post-16 students had the privilege of attending a Key Stage 5 lecture series at Seamus Heaney’s Home-place in Bellaghy. The students engaged in an exhibition tour, a lecture and seminars with undergraduate literature students. The visit was extremely worthwhile, making their anthology relevant and accessible. It whetted their appetite, inspiring them towards success in the upcoming examinations. Thank you to the staff at the Home-place for sharing their joy and knowledge of Heaney’s literature.

“I learned what inspiration feels like but not how to summon it . . . I learned that waiting is part of the work.” (Seamus Heaney)
