The Year 9, 10, 11 team successfully beat Lisneal College 4-1 on Friday in the NI Electric Cup. After a quick start, the girls took the lead with a well-worked goal by Charley. Lisneal then started to put some pressure on and GM had to hold on. Lisneal got a deserved if fortunate goal to draw level. Some more strong defending from the team then kept it level at HT.

After HT the girls came out of the blocks and showed what they are capable of scoring quickly and getting a grip of the game. The girls then controlled possession in the 2^nd half working to find more openings and took a 4-1 thanks to 2 long-range free kicks from Charley and goal by Louisa. Lisneal pushed to get back into the game putting pressure on GM but we held firm and the game finished 4-1. Onto the next round we go!

The Year 8 team also won their 1^st match last week and move into the next round.
