From 20th to 24th June, 40 students and 5 staff took an Italian odyssey to Venice and Lake Garda to experience the culture, sightseeing and some delicious food. The sights of St Mark’s Square and the Rialto bridge were experienced on foot and by private waterbus.  A stroll along Lake Garda provided multiple photo opportunities, while the boat trip on the lake was an adrenaline junkie’s dream at times. This was only surpassed by the visit to Gardaland theme park, where the rides looked terrifying to a few and were a delight for the majority, but there was something on offer for all levels of fear factor. Overall, it was a fabulous trip with a fantastic group of girls who have been inspired by the Italian landscape and culture.
