On Thursday 13th February 2020 Girls’ Model School held their first-ever Spelling Bee with Year 8. After months of regular spelling tests in class: Ebony Gardner, Molly Scott, Ashleah Cowan, Rachel Pollock, Kayleigh Orr, Sharon Abiona, Ruby McGradle, Chloe Grace and Brodie-May Brown all took their spot in the final. With all the Year 8 pupils and English teachers there to show their support and cheer them on, the nine girls took on the ‘Spelling Bee’ challenge! There were three rounds in the competition – the spelling was excellent throughout – and ultimately Chloe Grace emerged as the overall winner for 2020! A huge ‘well done’ to all the girls who took part!
